Yas Queen is a celebration of women in music! This female led jazz band – is the yin to the yang of Brisbane’s jazz scene. Since their debut performance in 2017, Yas Queen have performed onstage at Brisbane Festival, The Wonderland Festival and the Brisbane International Jazz Festival; as well as  prominent venues such as the Brisbane Jazz Club, Doo Bop Jazz Bar, and JMI Live. Yas Queen have also appeared regularly on radio stations ABC Brisbane and 4ZZZ.

Described by their fans as the ultimate jazz party band, Yas Queen is fronted by trained musicians Paula Girvan, Mel Lathouras and Tenille West. They are backed by some of Brisbane’s freshest musicians – while their female leads sing Boswell and Andrew Sister-like harmonies with sass and originality.

Yas Queen perform a stompin’ set of big band classics, popular jazz standards and modern-day hits with a vintage twist.
